EPCOT's Connections Eatery Sign and The Land Pavilion's Dirty Ribbons: A State of Neglect? (2026)

Bold issue alert: even world-class parks can show wear, and today we’re spotlighting a few rough edges at EPCOT. During our latest visit, we spotted two notable concerns: a chipped Connections Eatery sign and dirty ceiling ribbons in The Land pavilion.

Connections Eatery Sign
The sign sits in a black frame, and the back is marred by white scuffs likely from guests brushing against it or mishandling the frame. Most of the marks cluster toward the bottom, but there are additional scuffs higher up as well.

The Land Ribbons
In The Land pavilion, the ceiling is draped with large yellow and orange fabric ribbons. When light catches them just right, you can clearly see how dirty these have become with time. Several ribbons bear substantial brown stains, and a few show signs of water damage—likely from leaks near the skylights.

Context and follow-up
WDW News Today (WDWNT) aims to monitor maintenance issues like this to help keep the parks clean and safe for guests. Previously, we noted similar concerns in The Barnstormer queue at Magic Kingdom, and Disney began repairs shortly after our report. You can read about those repairs in our related coverage.
